Unlock the beehive and start repairing homes in the demo

Return to the Mayor after Gerald’s shop repair, collect the beehive unlock and read the next home-rebuilding requirement.

Released September 21 · patch 1.0.1 · existing walkthroughs use demo footage · Updated 2026-09-20

The short answer

After repairing Gerald’s shop, speak to the Mayor again. In the reviewed demo, the reward unlocks beehives for sale at Gerald’s stall during adventures. Continue the Mayor’s dialogue to accept the request to repair three homes, then check a damaged home’s crop-token requirement.

Before you start

  • Follow the shop-repair guide first and compare the Mayor’s dialogue with your current demo build.

Evidence and limits

At 14:05 the reward panel identifies Beehive as a tower unlocked in Gerald’s shop. At 14:15 the Mayor says Gerald’s stall can sell beehives during adventures. This verifies the unlock message, not a purchase, price, placement demonstration or guaranteed stock on every visit. Selected source frames reviewed September 20, 2026. Recording date and exact build unknown. Kingy has not independently play-tested these steps.

The reward is a shop unlock. The inspected sequence does not show a beehive being added to Sprout’s held items or placed in the garden. If you cannot find one in your inventory, check the shop rather than assuming the reward failed.

For a later demonstration with a hive already held, follow the beehive placement guide below.

  1. Return to the Mayor in town after repairing Gerald’s shop.
  2. Continue the repair follow-up and collect the beehive unlock when offered.
  3. During an adventure, check Gerald’s stall for the newly available tower and read its price before buying.

Evidence and limits

At 14:31.6 the Mayor’s dialogue requests three home repairs with Accept and Decline choices. At 14:35 he names crop tokens. At 14:40.8 a Rebuild Home prompt shows a 15-token cost while the town balance is 8. This is one inspected home; no completed repair, total quest cost or completion reward is established. Selected source frames reviewed September 20, 2026. Recording date and exact build unknown. Kingy has not independently play-tested these steps.

The inspected home asks for 15 crop tokens, while this player has 8. That frame shows an unaffordable repair prompt, not a successful repair. Read each home’s current price; the clip does not establish that every home costs the same or that the entire quest costs 45 tokens.

For a successful repair and its inventory reward, follow the backpack-expansion guide below.

After the requested repairs, use the linked completion guide for the Mayor’s follow-up. Its reward and ending sections contain spoilers.

  1. Continue speaking to the Mayor after collecting the shop unlock.
  2. Accept the request to repair three homes when that option appears.
  3. Approach a damaged home and open its repair prompt.
  4. Compare the displayed requirement with your town crop tokens. If you are short, earn more and return.
