The short answer
Check the results screen even after losing a run. The reviewed demo awards crop tokens for completed days despite an empty haul. Back in town, Gerald asks for 15 crop tokens to repair his shop. Keep that town requirement separate from the coins used during a run.

Evidence and limits
At 12:17 the defeat screen shows zero for crops delivered, 15 from completed days and a total score of 15. At 12:22 Sprout is back in town with 38 crop tokens. Around 12:33 the repaired shop is visible, Gerald confirms it is open and the balance is 23. This is an edited creator video: the total town balance is not the reward from this one run. No universal payout formula or guaranteed reward is established. Selected source frames reviewed September 20, 2026. Recording date and exact build unknown. In this example, the raccoons empty the haul and the run ends. The results still include 15 crop tokens from completed days, with none from delivered crops. A defeat can therefore leave you with something to spend in town.
Read each line of your own results, then continue to town and check your token balance. The town balance may include earlier rewards; it is not necessarily the amount earned on that run. Do not deliberately lose the haul to copy this example.
- Read the completed-days and delivered-crops rows on the results screen.
- Return to town and check your crop-token balance.
- Approach Gerald’s damaged shop and compare its repair requirement with your balance.
- When you have enough, follow the displayed repair interaction and speak to Gerald again.

Evidence and limits
At 1:53 Gerald’s dialogue requests 15 crop tokens to repair his shop. The later repaired-shop frame shows a 15-token decrease from the previously observed town balance. This verifies the shown demo requirement, not retail pricing or the cost of every building. Selected source frames reviewed September 20, 2026. Recording date and exact build unknown. Kingy has not independently play-tested these steps.

The opening dialogue asks for 15 crop tokens. If you are short, continue playing and check later run results before returning. The footage does not establish a fastest farming route or a fixed number of runs needed.
After the repair, Gerald confirms that his shop is open. Check the stock and prices shown in your game before buying. This guide does not establish every item the shop can unlock.

Keep the three counters separate
A crop in your inventory, a coin dropped during combat and a town crop token are different things. Use the name and icon on the current prompt before spending.
| Counter | What to check |
|---|---|
| Crops in the haul | The stored crops you defend; an empty haul ends the reviewed run. |
| Run coins | The spendable coin counter during the run; the fainting message can reduce it. |
| Town crop tokens | The currency Gerald names for repairing his shop. Read it after returning to town. |
