The short answer
Take enough early damage to survive while assembling draw and defense. Sly needs an active discard effect; ending the turn with a Sly card in hand does not play it.
Before you start
- Unlock Silent by playing Ironclad.
- Use the card text from your own branch.
Give each damage package a job
| Package | Examples | What it needs |
|---|---|---|
| Shivs | Leading Strike, Cloak and Dagger, Blade Dance | Generation first; Accuracy can strengthen the repeated hits. |
| Poison | Noxious Fumes, Deadly Poison | Time and defense for the damage to resolve. |
| Early attacks | Leading Strike, Dagger Spray | A way to end short or multi-enemy fights. |
| Defense | Leg Sweep, Backflip | Enough Energy left to use the defense you draw. |

Trigger Sly deliberately
Survivor and Prepared are active discard tools. Choose the Sly card when their discard effect resolves. Ordinary end-turn discard and cards rejected by a full hand do not count. Prepared draws before you choose, so inspect the new card before committing.
Kingy example: a hand with a discard tool and Untouchable can turn the discard into Block. A hand with Untouchable but no discard tool cannot assume that same free Block. This is why adding another Sly payoff may be less useful than adding a reliable enabler.

Do not confuse the damage clocks
Poison triggers at the start of the enemy turn. Doom normally checks at the end of that unit’s turn. Player end-turn effects can still hurt you before Poison kills an enemy. Treat the visible timing as part of your survival calculation.
