Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes: world route and level guide
Quick answer
Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes is a retail-only world. Enter Level 1 from the first hub screen and clear its 13 puzzle screens solo, then reach Level 2 from the third hub screen, where a second character joins for 12 screens; on Level 2’s last screen the character from Level 1 must take the first role (C1).

October 15: partial Skipping Stones progress loss
The October 15 update bumps the first Skipping Stones level’s version to correct problems introduced in October 14 r67121. The developer warns that an existing partial save loses progress within that one level. Other game progress is unaffected, and a first level already completed or never started is unaffected according to the notice. Keep an untouched backup; the announcement supplies no method to restore that lost partial progress.
The developer fixes several Skipping Stones checkpoints and exploits, a bad-checkpoint cascade in Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes, an early Mirrors and Stones exploit and a missing trader companion in a mirror level. The note does not map each fix to the room numbers used here. Keep the original recording dates and compare your starting layout; Kingy has not replay-tested these routes after the patch.
October 16 r67255 also closes a speedy exploit in Skipping Stones to Lonely Homes that could cause a bad checkpoint. October 17 reports an open Reset regression; use Undo back to the start before Reset as the developer’s temporary workaround. No published room-number mapping or replay test is supplied.
A stone pushed across water skips until it reaches a shore or an obstacle, so check where it will stop before pushing. Lily pads are moving platforms carried by the currents; a stone that hits one can launch it into a current. Board a pad only once its route is set: moving one early can cut off the crossing you need.
Level 1 has 13 puzzle screens in order, with two treasures along the way, and ends back on its first screen. Screen 10 is visited twice: launch a pad to reach screen 11 first, then come back to finish it.

Screen 1
Postmode’s retail recording (PS5 Pro, no commentary), uploaded October 10, 2026. Screen 1 is on screen at 0:10. Kingy sampled frames at 0:10, 0:30, 1:00, 1:30, 2:00, 2:30 and 3:00; the full sequence was not reviewed uninterrupted.
A second character joins in Level 2, so most screens need both characters to pass stones to each other or time a push while the other rides a pad. Guides label them C1 and C2; on most screens either character can take either role.
On screen 12 the character from Level 1 must be C1. Swapping the roles makes the documented solution fail.

Screen 1
Postmode’s retail recording (PS5 Pro, no commentary), uploaded October 10, 2026. Screen 1 is on screen at 0:05; the boat finale is around 28:20–30:00. Kingy sampled frames across the recording; the full sequence was not reviewed uninterrupted.
After Level 2, push the stones below the Level 2 entrance into the gaps in the wooden path, then continue right and down to hub screen 5 and enter the series on its left. One guide lists six two-character puzzles there; that count and its move lists have only one written source so far, so they are not reproduced here.
Screen-by-screen move lists for Level 1, Level 2 and the screen 5 series are linked through the sources rather than written here: only one written guide gives moves, and Kingy has not yet checked each move against a recording. Hub screen 4 is not described by either written guide.
