Keep a return record
Suggested notebook format: location description, obstacle, tool already tried, visible clue and next test. Use a label from the game where one exists; otherwise identify the note as your own description. This preserves a useful route memory without pretending that an illustrated facility is a measured map.
- Describe the junction before leaving it.
- Record what blocked the route.
- Keep observations separate from guesses about the required upgrade.
- Revisit the note after acquiring a new tool.
