Deep Down: route, deadline and cave exit

Early-arrival walkthroughs find Lazar alive. PC Gamer reports that waiting until evening produces the dead-Lazar branch. PowerPyx’s main route describes the latter outcome, so its wording should not be read as an unavoidable death.

If you have arrived late and want the earlier outcome, a save from before that time change is the relevant recovery point. Completing the same late route again does not establish a different outcome.

Sources disagree on the bracers’ armour value. We retain the location and omit a fixed stat claim; compare the item shown in your current save.

1. Continue up into the underground ruins. In the sarcophagus chamber, inspect the wall paintings before opening the coffin.
2. Collect and inspect the Mireleaf Bracers. Equip useful upgrades before moving into the hall towards the surface.
3. The Forgotten Guardian guards the route out. Dodge the glowing double-blade attack; the walkthrough recommends creating openings with a perfect block, then using a short counterattack.
4. Loot the defeated guardian, take the route back outside and return to Gavril to finish the quest.
