The short answer
Plan for 120 GB available on an SSD and 16 GB RAM. Remedy’s current Steam listing supersedes earlier 100 GB figures. Meeting a listed tier does not establish your exact frame rate.
Before you start
- Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit
- Your CPU, graphics card, memory and install drive details
Compare the current Windows tiers
| Component | Minimum | Recommended |
|---|---|---|
| CPU | Intel i5-8500 / AMD Ryzen 5 3500 | Intel i7-10700 / AMD Ryzen 7 3700X |
| Graphics | GTX 1070 / RX 5600 XT / Arc A580 | RTX 3060 Ti / RX 6700 XT / Arc B580 |

Read performance targets with their conditions
The final September 9 announcement has a separate performance chart. Its targets distinguish resolution, graphics settings, upscaling and tracing. A GPU name alone is not a native-resolution performance promise.
This page compares the official storefront hardware tiers. Kingy has not benchmarked the game, verified handheld performance or established Mac requirements.
Make a useful first-launch check
An old requirements image or a launch-era Control settings guide can give the wrong starting point. Use the current Resonant listing and its own settings.
- Compare the complete CPU and GPU model names, rather than relying on a brand or product family.
- Choose an SSD installation location with enough free space. Leave additional working room for updates if you can; no exact patch-space allowance is confirmed.
- At release, record your resolution and graphics preset before changing settings. Change one option at a time so you can judge its effect.
- If performance remains poor, include your hardware, game version and a repeatable scene in a support report.
