01 / Field notes

The question a class answers

The guide makes containment difficulty and purpose central. Safe generally means reliable containment; Euclid covers uncertainty or unpredictability; Keter concerns especially difficult or costly containment. A Safe object can still be dangerous when used.

Other purposes

Thaumiel identifies anomalies used to contain other anomalies. The guide also discusses classes for situations where containment is impossible, unnecessary, or deliberately avoided. The exact label and any change belong to the source article you are reading.

Use the source classification

Kingy preserves each report’s stated class instead of deriving a threat score from it. A class change can be a plot development, so check the selected spoiler level before opening a full explanation.
