Production

Assign workers and diagnose a stalled production recipe

The short answer

In the reported starter controls, left-click a worker on the resting bench, then left-click the production task. In 0.4.5, right-click the recipe to set its output destination. Check ingredients, assigned staff and free storage before treating a stopped job as a master bug.

Before you start

  • A purchased-game business with an available worker, an unlocked recipe and its required inputs already delivered. This does not cover hiring or a complete cart-shopping route.
  • Worker controls below come from September 16 tutorial reporting; current output and storage rules come from official 0.4.5 notes. Kingy has not reproduced either in-game.

Put an available worker on the task

The reported worker panel includes skills, Health, Energy and Opinion. Read the relevant skill and Energy before adding work to an exhausted employee. No universal wage, rest duration or productivity percentage has been established here.

  1. Open the business and inspect the desired recipe, its ingredients and the available staff. Kingy recommends starting with one supplied recipe so its result is easy to follow.
  2. Left-click a worker on the resting bench, then left-click the task to assign them, following the published starter controls. Check that the worker is shown on that task.
  3. To remove the worker from the task, select them and click the resting bench. Use the current interaction guide in the main menu if the controls differ.

Choose where the next finished item should go

Official 0.4.5 notes say crafting stops and notifies you when storage is full. A product routed to storage is not automatically in the storefront. The patch also makes right-click close most windows, but interactive recipes and portraits are exceptions; right-clicking elsewhere is not a substitute for opening the recipe control.

  1. In 0.4.5, right-click the crafting recipe in the business. Choose storage, storefront or the desired target stock setting.
  2. Watch one production cycle. Check the selected destination for the finished item and read any notification if crafting stops.

Keep the next cycle supplied

ShowGamer recommends sending the next ingredient delivery while workers use the stock already on hand. Treat the business inventory as the check: a purchase still travelling by cart has not completed that delivery. Compare the intended output with the ingredients shared by other recipes before starting several tasks.

Kingy’s cycle check: note the starting input and output counts, assigned worker, destination and time; then record the ingredient decrease and finished item. Successful crafting is separate from a sale. Record actual proceeds and remaining stock before judging whether an extra employee or cart pays for itself.

Find the stopped part of the chain

If none explains the stop, retain a save and capture the build, recipe, worker state, input/output inventories and message. These are observations to report, not proof that a patch fix failed.

What you observeCheck before changing anything
Worker remains on the resting benchRepeat the reported worker→task selection and check the assignment display.
Inputs absent from this businessCheck which recipe needs them and where the delivery actually is.
Worker assigned, but performance is poorInspect Energy and the relevant skill; use the resting bench to remove an exhausted employee from the task.
Full-storage notificationCheck the chosen output destination and clear the capacity issue before watching another cycle.
Finished goods exist, but storefront is emptyInspect the recipe’s output setting and the location where those goods were placed.
Master sells inputs or takes an empty cartRead the separate master guide: completely full storage is an ingredient-retention exception, and an empty cart is not reserved for you.

Healing Balm: employee missing from targets?

September 27 player reports; exact builds unstated and untested by Kingy. Have Healing Balm in personal inventory and identify the employee.

  1. Select the balm in personal inventory and choose Use to open character selection.
  2. Inspect the categories and name filtering, then scroll for the employee. Verify the identity before selecting and confirming.
  3. After use, compare the employee’s condition and balm count; verify the actual result.

The original poster reached this selector but could not find their worker. No reliable fix is established. Stop before treating another character; preserve the save and capture the employee, inventory, filters, list and installed build.
