The short answer
The developer describes new materials unlocking recipes and new tools opening routes. Workbenches and Cooking Tables expand crafting options. If exploration stalls, check whether the obstacle needs a tool, a meal effect or a camp upgrade before assuming you have missed a puzzle code.
Follow the material-to-tool chain
The developer names hammers, pickaxes, ropes, hooks and other tools, but does not supply their acquisition order in the post. A named item is not proof it is obtainable in your current demo area.

Investigate one obstruction at a time
This is a suggested investigation method. The demo intentionally omits bosses and the larger puzzles, so a full-game trailer may show a challenge you cannot reach in the demo.
- Record the room or landmark and what prevents progress.
- Check interactions and nearby clues without committing scarce materials blindly.
- Return to camp and compare your current tool and workstation options.
- Bring back the relevant tool only after confirming what it does.
- Check whether the route opens, then update your saved note.

If a recipe still is not available
Check the station as well as the ingredients: the June update specifically distinguishes Cooking Table carcass preparation from a Cooking Pot recipe. If no documented interaction applies, keep the obstacle unresolved; this edition does not invent an ingredient combination or puzzle sequence.
