Base-building basics

How to finish construction and unlock a character

The short answer

Place the blueprint, then choose Harvest and aim characters at the unfinished building until its meter fills. Dayngls reports that completing a house makes its character available.

Before you start

  • The matching blueprint and the resources shown on its building card.
  • Reported instructions from a launch-period trophy guide and DCRage's Xbox Store account; Kingy has not reproduced them on the current build.

From blueprint to finished building

  1. Collect the plan during a run. DCRage reports that defeating the stage is unnecessary to retain a collected blueprint after a loss; quitting early is not established by that account.
  2. Back in town, select the matching building and check its displayed resource requirements before placing it.
  3. Choose Harvest. Aim your available characters so they strike the unfinished building, then watch its completion meter.
  4. Continue construction until the meter is full. For housing, check the character roster on that save.

Android: buildings missing after reopening?

In an August 31, 2026 Google Play review, Voletidraco reports buildings or upgrades disappearing after reopening while spent gold remained missing. Kingy has not reproduced this Android report or verified an iOS equivalent.

No recovery method is verified here. Reinstalling, replacing saves or forcing cloud sync is not an established fix.

  1. Record your device, app version, save slot, gold and affected building.
  2. Note whether you returned to the title screen, closed the app or changed devices.
  3. Send that sequence and screenshots to support@devolverdigital.com, listed in Google Play’s App support section.

Which guild building do you need?

The Guildhall introduced in the Shadow Update changes previously chosen character upgrades, according to Kenny Sun. For Endless Mode, follow the separate Adventurer's Guild guide linked below. Similar names do not establish the same unlock or function.

Guildhall blueprint conditions, reroll prices and the exact upgrade-selection interface still need current-build verification here.

Choose harvest traits at the Guild Hall

Have a completed Guild Hall and a character whose harvest upgrades you want to change. Record the existing traits and gold first.

In a May 2026 Steam answer, player ruthvenmoon describes choosing the character's harvest traits; paying gold redraws those choices. This is player reporting, not a Kingy test of the current build.

  1. Open the Guild Hall and inspect the available character and trait choices. Check the displayed price before paying.
  2. Choose the traits you want, then compare the character's resulting list with your record.
  3. If a character or choice is unavailable, capture that screen and your build. Cancellation, refunds and exact eligibility remain unverified.
