An ensemble of researchers and staff works beneath Lake Huron. Site-43’s local habits, recurring characters, and unusual containment practices give this canon its shape.

Learn the place before the chronology
The hub presents Site-43 as a Canadian facility with an unusually informal academic atmosphere. Containment involves compromises with the anomalies already there, alongside hazardous work processing anomalous waste. Its welcome is written in a local voice, which makes it an introduction to the staff’s outlook as well as to the geography. Treat that voice as a guide with a perspective. Other facilities and canons need not share its methods, organization, or tolerance for the strange.

An arrival you can follow
Welcome to Site-43 follows Oliver Turner’s journey to a new posting, from an anxious helicopter ride to the facility’s checkpoints and interview process. Travel, credentials, unfamiliar screening, and the fear of getting lost make the institution legible at a human scale. This is our optional introduction for readers who prefer a character arriving somewhere new. It is not the opening chapter prescribed by the hub, nor a complete explanation of the setting. Follow Turner’s experience before looking up every name or department encountered along the way.

Choose an arc, then keep its order
For the main Words of Power and Poison sequence, the hub starts Phase One with SCP-5056 and its experiment and incident reports. Follow those links in the hub’s order before opening later phases. The same identifier can appear again as the larger story develops, and linked pages can be revised; an early position in a reading list does not freeze a page at its original version. Keep the hub available as a contents page, and save character histories for after their introduction.
