How to get into the WoW Forever beta

Opt-in versus included access, the testing window and what to check first.

QUICK ANSWER

The announced beta runs September 17–October 21, 2026. Blizzard offers an opt-in for a chance to participate. The Epic Pack and Forever Collection list beta access; the Skyborne Heroic Pack does not.

Before you start

  • Your intended Battle.net account.
  • Check the product terms for your region before choosing a pack.

Use the official opt-in

  1. Open Blizzard’s official Forever page from the source link below.
  2. Find the beta opt-in and read the signup text, including any email subscription choices.
  3. Sign in to the Battle.net account you want to use and complete the opt-in yourself.
  4. Treat an opt-in as a request for consideration. It does not establish that your account has been invited.

Check included access before buying

The US product listing places beta access in the Epic Pack and the Forever Collection. Heroic adds Skyborne and name reservations, but its listed benefits do not include beta access.

A pack inclusion describes eligibility, not a promise of uninterrupted server availability. Confirm the current window and product terms on Battle.net before making a purchase.

If the beta is missing from your client

We have not verified beta character transfers, supported add-ons, the full realm list or whether progress carries into launch. Keep beta testing plans separate from your launch character plan.

  1. Check the date: the announced window begins September 17.
  2. Confirm you are signed in to the account that received the invitation or owns the eligible edition.
  3. Check the exact edition on your account rather than relying on the word “Forever” in a purchase name.
  4. Read the official access instructions and service notices before attempting another installation.
