The short answer
Steam retail hotfix 1.03.2 addresses startup with an inactive monitor and some upscaling-effect errors. Demo 1.00.2 instead fixes selection of the wrong monitor. Match the edition before troubleshooting; neither note establishes a frame-rate improvement or console fix.
Before you start
- The current release or demo build
- Access to display and control options
- Platform/version information
Start with the published Steam baseline
Minimum requirements are not a promise of identical frame pacing on every machine. Start with the in-game performance preset, then change one setting at a time.

Fix monitor selection before chasing graphics
[Official Steam demo note] Version 1.00.2 addresses startup ignoring the selected monitor. Console display behavior is not inferred from that PC-specific announcement.
For the full game, use the retail 1.03.2 startup and upscaling fixes. These notes do not name every affected upscaler or prescribe a particular preset; compare the same scene and display setup when reporting a remaining issue.
- Update the Steam demo or full game before troubleshooting an old display symptom.
- Confirm the intended monitor in Options and at startup.
- Check resolution, refresh rate, window mode and controller focus.
- Record the selected monitor and the one actually used if the issue returns.
Keep console claims platform-specific
The full game is listed for PS5, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam. A Switch demo running on Switch 2 through backward compatibility does not establish the native Switch 2 edition’s resolution or frame rate.
Record platform, display mode, version and whether the problem reproduces after a restart. Do not turn one console’s behavior into a global release note.
- Check the platform’s own update status.
- Capture the current display and control settings.
- Test the same scene after a full restart.
- Link the result to a platform-specific report or official notice.
