Read a patch note as a test plan
A patch note can explain a missing S-Craft or monitor issue; it cannot prove that a different platform has the same bug or fix.
- Write down the platform, version and exact symptom.
- Apply only the update that matches the platform and issue.
- Reload the affected save when the note says existing saves are repaired.
- Check the same menu or activity again.
- Keep the old file if the problem survives the update.
What to record after launch
The September 18 retail row applies to Steam. Add other platforms only when their own itemized notices or retained tests establish the scope; keep the earlier demo rows as history.
If a behavior changes without a note, label it as an observed report until an official notice or second retained reproduction catches up.
- Capture the version string before and after updating.
- Recheck save transfer, S-Crafts, fishing, display and achievement behavior.
