Quick answer

Update 4 gives each venue its own restock target and daily restocking budget. The red restock objective now appears only at zero stock. Normal targets 5 of each required ingredient; Lean uses 2, Extra uses 10, and Recent Sales follows the last 4 in-game hours with a minimum of 2. Loading a save can make the controls show the wrong settings while the saved venue parameters remain in effect. The display fix is due in the next patch.

Choose a restock target for each venue

ION LANDS and 505 Games released Update #4 on October 9, 2026 at 07:25 PDT (14:25 UTC). Open the venue overview window to find Venue Management Settings. You can choose a supply target, set a daily restocking budget and switch the top-left HUD restocking notifications on or off for each venue individually.

The shopping list reflects these supply targets, so it is the place to check what a manager will buy toward. Treat the target as the amount you want stocked; the zero-stock objective tells you that a required ingredient has run out.

Match the daily budget to the venue's menu

The budget is a daily restocking limit you configure for that venue. A target alone cannot ensure ingredients are replenished: the developer warns that a budget set too low can keep the restock objective returning. The same warning can appear when the menu requires ingredients vendors cannot sell you.

A practical check is to compare the venue's shopping list with the ingredients available from vendors and their prices before changing the budget. Higher stock targets call for enough purchasing headroom. The notes give no universal daily amount, so an exact recommended budget would depend on your venue and menu.

A red restock objective now means zero stock

Update #4 changes the automatic venue restock objective to appear only when a required ingredient reaches 0. For example, 1 remaining ingredient is above that warning threshold even if you selected Extra's target of 10. Use the shopping list to inspect target amounts before the warning appears.

  1. Check which required ingredient has reached zero in the affected venue.
  2. Check that venue's restock target and daily budget, then compare the shopping list with available vendor ingredients.
  3. Expand any recipe with a red menu icon to see missing ingredients or processors. Raising a budget cannot supply an ingredient vendors do not sell.

Check where deliveries and reserved ingredients go

Existing deliveries, including stacked deliveries, now clear automatically. Items go into the venue when there is space; otherwise they move to your main inventory for manual restocking or selling. If venue stock still looks short, check the main inventory before ordering replacements.

The patch also returns ingredients reserved for an unfinished order to storage when the customer leaves early. The developer says existing saves correct themselves. These are reported changes; Kingy has not tested their behavior in a retail save.

Saved settings can look changed after loading

The developer warns that loading a save can make previously chosen Venue Management Settings appear changed. The underlying venue parameters stay saved and remain in effect; the problem is how the controls display them. A changed-looking control alone does not establish that your configuration was lost.

The developer says the fix is already prepared for the next patch. As of the October 9 Update #4 announcement, that patch has not been released. Keep the saved-value behavior and the pending display repair separate when troubleshooting.
