First game required?No. Mojang says the sequel can be played without completing Minecraft Dungeons.

Game Pass and purchase ownership

The September Xbox announcement lists day-one access through Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Xbox Wire also identifies Xbox Play Anywhere support. Do not assume that a Steam purchase supplies console ownership or that every Game Pass tier includes day-one access.
