All 8 trinkets and Clinket the Trader (1.0)

Quick answer

1.0 adds eight trinkets sold by Clinket the Trader: Iron Worm, Hungry Hook, Gambler's Doubloon, Devil's Ember, Deadman's Hand, Siren's Conch, Captain's Stopwatch and Bassweiser. Each has a chance to fire a big buff. In co-op, anything one player buys or upgrades, everyone gets. GONE Studios hasn't published prices or trigger chances.

Before you start

  • Effects are GONE Studios' 1.0 descriptions. Kingy saw Clinket in the 1.0.1 Journal but hasn't reached the shop, so prices, levels and trigger rates aren't tested.

What each trinket does

Trinkets aren't always-on bonuses. Each one has a chance to trigger, and when it does the buff is large. You can buy and upgrade them.

TrinketWhen it triggers
Iron WormYou keep your bait after catching a fish
Hungry HookYou get an instant bite when you cast
Gambler's DoubloonA fish's value is multiplied
Devil's EmberA caught fish is smoked instantly
Deadman's HandA fish is reeled in instantly
Siren's ConchBetter odds of legendary and mythic fish
Captain's StopwatchThe first strike minigame completes perfectly
BassweiserCatching a fish gives you a buzz

The combo GONE Studios points to

The 1.0 notes single out Deadman's Hand, Captain's Stopwatch and Hungry Hook. If all three trigger together, the fish is in your inventory as soon as the bobber lands.

Which trinkets fit your goal

This is our reading of the official descriptions, not a tested ranking. If you're struggling to reach quota, Hungry Hook, Deadman's Hand and Captain's Stopwatch all shorten each catch. For gold, Gambler's Doubloon multiplies value and Devil's Ember protects catches from rot without a trip to the smoker. Legendary hunters want Siren's Conch, and Iron Worm stretches scarce high-tier bait.

Bassweiser's buzz is the beer effect; beer can raise bait score and fish value by up to 20%, per September 2026 posts.

Co-op: trinkets are shared

When anyone in the lobby buys or upgrades a trinket, the others get it too. Agree on a plan before spending.

Clinket and the old upgrades

The 1.0.1 Journal's Progression page lists three sellers: the Trader (totems, fishing upgrades and useful items), Clinket (trinkets) and Jeb (totem upgrades, the MOBY, cabin upgrades and more).

GONE Studios' 1.0 notes say trinkets replace the line, rod and sinker upgrades as the progression you choose, but those upgrades are still in 1.0: the October 22 patch made them 15% cheaper, with a separate 10% cut to each level 7 upgrade. The 1.0.1 Journal also still lists Sinker Upgrades as a way to catch bigger fish.
