The short answer
You cannot move a multiplayer character into single-player. Create a separate solo character; moving to a private server remains multiplayer.
Before you start
- Know your character’s current server type
Check character data after a failed server join
Hotfix 1.5.3.3 fixes a failed-join issue that could show the wrong character data in the Characters tab. Install the patch and confirm the character and server before joining or deleting. This fix does not change the transfer directions below. On PS5, the patch also removes the obsolete Balanced label, which had been replaced by Quality.

Multiplayer transfer directions
Back up bases and vehicles before a supported multiplayer transfer. These server rules do not establish cross-platform save compatibility; self-hosted servers are not part of the console release.
| Current character | Allowed destination | Return restriction |
|---|---|---|
| Official server | Other official, private or self-hosted servers | No return to official after leaving for private/self-hosted |
| Private server | Other private or self-hosted servers | No return to private after moving to self-hosted |
| Self-hosted server | Other self-hosted servers | Cannot move to private or official |
| Single-player | Single-player only | No multiplayer transfer |
