The short answer
Start with Gremla near her shed in Laslea. Use Focus Mode on the damaged loom and the trail outside. Examine both sides of the cloth scrap before following the suspect lead.
Before you start

- Finish before Sacred Covenant
- Reserve time for the confrontation
Build the clue chain
- Ask Gremla about the missing banner and inspect the broken loom.
- Outside, inspect the footprints and the cane mark beside them.
- Find the torn cloth, turn it over and inspect the blood. The combined clues point to someone with a cane and an injured hand.

Alois, Otokar and Dana provide intermediate leads. Once the suspect-search objective is active, the walkthrough also allows you to confront Premysl directly. His confession is a time-costing step.
Choose whether to persuade him to return the banner or support keeping it. Afterwards, report to Gremla; identifying the culprit is not the final hand-in.
