How to get Alucard's Sword and Shield

Quick answer

Alucard's Sword and Shield wait in Alucard's sealed chambers at the top of a hidden tower in the Main Hall. Enter through the Alucard portrait in the Entrance Corridor, climb past the upward-pointing Alucard portrait, put out all five blue flames, then return to the top of the tower to open his room.

Before you start

Reach the hidden tower

  1. In the Main Hall's Entrance Corridor, find the Alucard portrait beside the hidden red door and enter the passage it opens. One walkthrough says to jump into the portrait to its right.

Put out the five blue flames

Both walkthroughs say five blue flames seal Alucard's room; the shrine at the top of the tower shows five flame emblems. Only the lowest flame is located by both guides. The other four locations below come from one walkthrough.

  1. Hidden Stair Room: two flames, one at the upper left and one at the upper right of the symmetrical staircase room, above the writing desk (one walkthrough).

Open Alucard's room

Reveal solution / story details

Both walkthroughs describe attacks that move Rose toward enemies as she strikes, and a shield that blocks hits from the front. The pickup card in the launch-build clip below lists the pair as Legendary with 100 ATK, which matches one walkthrough; some guides list 33, so check the number on your own equipment screen.
