An early team for Alpha Turbo: a recorded level 15 example

HeroVoltsy defeats the level 13 Alpha Turbo with Helion, Flameruff, Pranky and Nimbi at level 15. Helion is the controlled attacker. This is one obtainable early party with a demonstrated result, not a ranking or a minimum-investment claim.

September 29: developer reports an Alpha catch-state fix

Patch 1.0.3616231.0 reports a fix for Alpha catch attempts failing with “Cannot catch the Alpha in the current state.” This is a developer report; Kingy has not reproduced the fix. It does not guarantee a catch or establish new capture requirements.

The recordings below show earlier encounters and retain their original review dates and outcomes. If your game still refuses a catch, retain the exact message, build number and encounter state rather than treating the patch notice as proof that your attempt must succeed.

1. Assemble the recorded party

Helion is the opening cavern choice in this run. At 14:38 the selection screen offers Helion and Lunara; Helion is described as a close-range attacker. At 1:16:04 the party screen labels Helion DPS and shows level 15, Perfect potential and CP 542. Those are properties of this recorded individual, not a requirement to reroll.

Flameruff, Pranky and Nimbi occupy the other three slots. Their presence is verified; the sampled fight does not establish that a particular off-field skill from each is necessary. Do not read the roster as a proven damage, healing or buff combination.

  1. Helion: select it in the opening cavern partner choice, then finish the Twining introduction. The first-steps guide covers that sequence.
  2. Skippy → Pranky: during the opening outdoor exploration, catch Skippy in the shallow water among the lotus leaves. The level 1 catch appears at 06:11. Before Turbo, the evolution menu shows a level 12 criterion; the resulting Pranky level 15 toast appears at 1:16:35.
  3. Nimbi: the cloud sequence before the Idyll ruins leaves Nimbi on the ground. At 49:21, the recording shows two level 5 Nimbi catch notifications. Aim and throw an Aniipod at the available target; a catch is not guaranteed by this guide.
  4. Flameruff: a wild level 6 Flameruff is targeted beside the rock wall and white flowers at 59:32, during Chasing the Clouds. Its catch-research objective completes at 59:36. By 1:16:04, the deployed Flameruff is level 15. The recording also evolves an Emberpup later; this guide does not identify which individual supplies every later slot.

2. Match the visible preparation

The pre-fight party has four level 15 members. Skippy is evolved to Pranky immediately before the encounter; the other named members remain Helion, Flameruff and Nimbi. The battle HUD retains those four level 15 icons.

At 1:16:09, Helion’s Level Up dialog reads 15/15 and says title advancement raises the training cap. No increase is selected and Confirm is disabled. Check your own cap before spending materials; the example does not require advancing beyond that displayed cap.

The observed combat HUD provides Helion’s Pound, Damage Boost and Transform. Their unlock costs, skill ranks, equipment and total leveling expenditure were not established. There is no evidence here for an exact resource bill, a required gear set, or level 15 as the lowest winning level.

  1. Open your combat party and verify the four names, forms and levels.
  2. Finish Skippy’s available evolution to Pranky if following this example, and verify the result before starting the fight.
  3. Check that Helion’s combat HUD offers the displayed abilities. If your progression state differs, follow the current unlock text rather than assuming that a name match gives identical preparation.

3. Use Helion and respond to the floating phase

Follow Lana’s tracked Defeat the Turbo objective. The recorded enemy is Alpha Turbo, level 13. The player Twines Helion and fights at close range; BREAK is visible during the sequence.

The recorded controller HUD uses X for attack, B for dash, A for jump, RS to change the locked target and a held RS to cancel lock-on. Helion shows LB for Pound, RB for Damage Boost, LB + RB for Transform and RT to Untwine. These labels establish the available controls, not a measured optimal rotation.

  1. Twine Helion using your current prompt, close to attack range, and use the attack and displayed abilities while watching Turbo’s attacks. Keep enough room to reposition; the run briefly shows a stamina warning.
  2. When Turbo floats and becomes protected, stop treating ordinary attacks as progress. At 1:17:44 the game instructs the player to lure it into two Nimbi so their weight brings it down.
  3. Move to line up the floating Turbo with the arena Nimbi and guide it through them. These encounter targets are separate from your own party Nimbi. Resume attacking once the protected phase ends.
  4. Continue until the fight changes to the catch phase. The recording reaches that phase by 1:18:10 and shows Lana confirming the lesson is complete at 1:18:32.

4. Chose Lunara? There is a separate successful example

Lunara is an obtainable alternative from the same opening partner-selection screen. A separate recording by Kreative COD Black Ops 6 Walkthroughs shows level 15 Lunara fighting level 13 Alpha Turbo under the same Chasing the Clouds objective at 01:02.

That run reaches a caught Turbo notification, Lana’s completion response and Report to Sheepy at 05:37. It uses different supporting members with visible party levels 15/7/13/15. This supports Lunara as another working starter for the encounter; it does not verify replacing Helion alone while leaving the other three slots unchanged.

Use the separate run to inspect Lunara’s own controls and the same floating-phase mechanic. Do not copy Helion’s ability names or assume that the two examples have identical investment.
