The short answer
You can pilot a personal boat and fish. The May developer update says fish are simulated in the water: the fish you catch is the one you saw, rather than an unseen random roll. Exact catch controls and species locations still need release-build verification.
Watch the fish in the water
The developer describes fish moving in shoals and responding to other fish or bait. Salmon is used as an example in that explanation. This does not supply a salmon location, bait recipe or catch probability.
An observed shoal is therefore relevant evidence for a future location guide. A generic percentage-drop table would not adequately describe the system announced by the developer.

Fishing expands as you explore
The Q&A describes discovering new fishing spots and species with your boat. Boat travel is separate from the city’s automated taxis and trains. Fishing also supports the business alongside shopping and greenhouse growing.

What a verified fish entry will include
Record the species name, landmark or route, equipment and bait actually used, the game version, and what the catch can be used for. Add time or weather restrictions only when supported by evidence.
Kingy has not verified rod upgrades, a best fishing spot, species-specific recipes or a profitable fishing route. The boat acquisition steps also remain to be tested.
